A very useful guide for everybody who is interested in exploring the real London

I've been to London some times before and saw already the Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Harrods etc. Now, with this guide we've found some realy nice shops en restaurants, not only in the usual places. for example: we had a great saturdaynight in a club called 'Home'in the London area Shoreditch. Good food en great music at a place we wouldn't have found without the 'London shopping and restaurant guide'. So a perfect guide for a weekend in London and meant for people who want to discover the latest and hottest spots in town!

The first thing that stroke me was the great layout of the book. The selection is selective but complete and both personal as specific. The writer has showed the courage to make a selection and a very good one as well. It is like you bought one of your best friends' travel report.

Having used it for a couple of weekends I found that the selection is absolute fabulous for a complete shopping wining and dining weekend in London. I had seen the sights and wanted some more "local stuff". The choice of areas coverred by the book is also good; from well-known Soho and Nottinghill to up and coming Shoreditch and Bermondsey. The selection of shops varies form trendy fashion shops to great jazzy clubs and bars that have not been seen in any other guide before.

All-in all, an absolute good value for money guide which I think suits both tourists and locals. Being a foreigner working in London it certainly did its thing for me!
